34 years ago today david asked me to be "his girl"..... 

i was not expecting this at all..... 

he made reservations at the "compass room" in downtown phoenix..... 

along with those reservations he and the wait staff had a plan..... 

after dinner he asked what i wanted for desert? i really did not want any so i told him so, he was a little persistent about me having some, so i ordered a piece of pie, when it was brought to our table the waiter took the cover off the plate and there set a beautiful diamond and ruby ring..... 

my honey sure is a romantic..... 

i suppose i should say here that i actually said out loud "is that for me?" i really was surprised..... 

i love him so, he still does his best to woo me, to surprise me, and to make sure i know that i am still special to him...... 

after all these years...... 

i am still totally in love with my sweetheart.....
